I am finalizing CMSbyCW Version 7.0 ...
... actually the more than 100th iteration.
So I think today, I completed the module that handles Users.
This CMS only has 2 roles that require logins
1) Admins
- I had to make sure that only Admins can create, or add, edit and delete user accounts.
2) Editors.
- Editors can edit their own user pages, and cannot add new users.
That's all coded up and tested to work. Because when I did my Quality Assurance testing, editors were able to Add new users, assign roles as an Admin, and can delete user accounts. Yikes! So that is FIXED.
So my QA days paid off from more than 10 years ago, I come up with all sorts of testing scenarios and I test on Prod.
LOL!
Also, was able to finish best practice on User Hash and passwords and such.
FIXED.
I guess I gotta start documenting my How Tos...
... because right now I am the only person who knows how to use this software.
