Developer Notes: This is a page for Tutorials / FAQs / Documentation.

As I work through each and every file, I will blog about those items, and so those posts can be searchable through the "Search Box" at the bottom of this page, in the "footer area".

I am creating a link to this page in every installation, so that clients can have a quick resource for learning about how to use this software. Like in any software, there's a slight learning curve.

As I publish more articles and tutorials. I will update this page with quick links to those pages or posts.

CMSbyCW supports installation in subdirectories (/sb/, /demo/) and root (/public_html/).

All internal links and includes must be reviewed during deployment.

Requirements

1) Domain Name Registration

CMSbyCW is for those who have a Domain Name that is already registered (we need your exact Domain Name to generate your Software License Key for the CMSbyCW Software Package.

2) Webhosting Account

You need to have a Webhosting Account that has access to either an FTP or Webhosting Account File Manager Control Panel so that you can upload the extracted CMSbyCW Software Package to your own Webhosting Account.

3) Please look through our Demo Account HERE, so that you know what the Basic CMSbyCW Software Package looks like.

Installation

1) Purchase a Software License Key by filling out the Purchase Form with the following:

1.1) Full Name (First and Last Name)

1.2) Email Address - your Instructions will be sent to the email provided.

1.3) Mobile Phone Number - we need this for verification as well.

1.4) Domain Name - you will notice that there are three fields, you only need to fill out Domain 1 for a Software License Key to be generated.

I decided to make this usable for at least three different domains, or have up to 3 different Active Installations. So if you have a Dot , COM website (that you put in the Domain 1 field), you can also have the Dot . NET and the Dot .ORG that you can put on Domain 2 and Domain 3 fields respectively. So for the price of 1 Software License Key, it can be used in 3 different Active Installations.
Up to 3 different Active Installations can share one License Key. This should however be recorded as well, per our DMCA policy, as CMSbyCW is a proprietary software.

1.5) Payments: You can pay by Credit Card, Debit Card, through PayPal.

As of 02/08/2026, I removed the "Pay by Check" on the Purchase Page, since this mode of payment programmatically generates the Software License Key and emails sent after Check Payment has cleared. It will just be a manual process we will do, once the check payment has cleared. We will still accept Check Payments but contact us first so we can send you your download page once your check payment has cleared.
Paying online with PayPal would be the best option so you can download the CMSbyCW ZIP File version of the Software Package within minutes of successful completion of payment through PayPal.

1.6) You will receive two emails:

1) One from us, containing your own "Software License Key" and the "Domain Name attached to it" and the "Expiry Date". (The expiry date is automatically set one year ahead. This does not affect your ability to use the software beyond that one year expiry date, provided it only has 3 Active Installations attached to your domain name, email and phone number).
2) Another email from Paypal, showing your Paypal Receipt.

1.7) You will verify your license through the download-verify link sent via our email.

1.8) Once you verify your License Key and Domain Name, you will then be able to download the Software Package, in ZIP file format. (ZIP file is a complete and compressed version of Software Package.

1.9) Save the ZIP file on your computer.

1.10) Unzip the package saving it under the /cmsbycw/ folder.

How to Extract Zip Files or Compressed Files

1.11) Login to your Webhosting Account, and you can upload the entire content under to the /cmsbycw/ folder. and upload it TO the folder on your webhosting account, usually the folder would be like /public_html.

the fastest and most efficient way to do this is to upload all these CMSbyCW files via FTP, to make sure all the files are uploaded to your webhosting account under the right /public_html/ folder and the correct subfolders of CMSbyCW. (You can use opensource FTP Software like FileZilla - the free FTP solution. as well,- the link will open in a new tab, we are not associated with Filezilla, we just use their FTP software).

1.12) Once everything is uploaded via FTP (or your Webhost Account Control Panel's File Manager), you can go to the browser and type in your Domain Name. Your new CMSbyCW Package should display
